Connotate Technologies Promotes Tom Pisello to CEO

Connotate Technologies, a developer of user-defined HTML-to-XML personalized content mining software, announced the promotion of Mr. Thomas Pisello to Chief Executive Officer. With over 15 years of executive management experience, Mr. Pisello has launched and advised several start-up ventures and brings valuable sales and marketing, financial, and software product development leadership to Connotate.

Mr. Pisello's first start-up success was Interpose, a developer of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis tools. As CEO and founder, Mr. Pisello lead the company to solid and profitable growth over a three year period from conception, creating a new market for IT financial analysis tools. Interpose was sold to GartnerGroup in 1998, upon which he continued to lead the division as Managing vice president, growing revenues to over $20 million.

Mr. Pisello has also launched and advised several Internet and e-commerce companies including DigitalOwl -- pioneer of e-publishing software and services, Full Armor Corporation- pioneer of enterprise policy management for Windows platforms, a powerful management solution which is bundled by Microsoft with Windows 2000, and PuertaBella.com -- award winning e-tailer of imported home decor.

Mr. Pisello also held key business development and project director roles with Conner Peripherals (now Veritas Software) and Logicon. Mr. Pisello holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Management degree from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida. He holds five software patents, has presented at COMDEX, Gartner TCO Conference and Red Herring's Venture Market South, and has written a book on TCO Analysis and several articles for leading information technology magazines and journals.
