LOG-NET Expands Sales Force, Promotes Prey

LOG-NET Inc, an industry leader in international supply chain execution (SCE) software, announced the expansion of its sales staff to address market demands and the needs of its increasing customer base of importers, exporters, and third party logistics providers. The company has promoted Christopher Prey to vice president of sales and marketing. Reporting directly to Prey are Thomas Wyville, director of sales for the eastern United States, and John Painter, director of sales for the western United States.

Prey, promoted from his previous position as LOG-NET's sales director, service provider sales, has over 25 years of international logistics experience. He began his career in the trans-Pacific sales office of Sea-Land Service in Boston, and later opened the first U.S. office for that company's consolidation subsidiary, The Buyers Group. In 1983, he became a founding partner in Cargo Management Services, an international freight forwarder based in New Jersey. Prey later spent two years in Rotterdam with MSAS managing the Asia-Europe consolidation service. He returned to the U.S. in 1994 to work with Century Distribution, the freight consolidation arm of KLine.

Thomas Wyville has over 15 years of international transportation experience working with major importers, exporters, service providers, and international trading houses. Prior to joining LOG-NET, he held various sales and sales management positions with United States Lines, Strachan Shipping Company, and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. From 1996 through 2000, he was the Northeast regional sales manager for MOL.

John Painter has 18 years of diversified transportation experience. He joined LOG-NET from CSX Lines, where as regional sales manager he lead a sales team covering New England, eastern Canada, the greater New York tri-state area, and all of the mid-Atlantic states. Prior to that, Painter gained valuable domestic logistics experience working with National Accounts and Intermodal Marketing Companies as regional manager for CSX Intermodal. He began his career with American president Lines, where he held positions in operations, customer service, telemarketing, and primarily, sales.
