Metier Ltd to Provide New Technology for MS Project Cust

Metier Ltd announced an initiative to develop integration and full synchronization capabilities between Metier's WorkLenz and Microsoft Project, which will add the ability to statistically model and predict future work behavior based on performance data.

WorkLenz' data mining and what-if analysis capabilities enable customers to produce more accurate and refined project plans based on statistical information. "Metier's ability to perform statistical analysis on legacy project data will provide significant value to our customers," said Joel Frauenheim, product manager for Microsoft Corp.

Another key benefit for Microsoft Project customers is that WorkLenz provides an Application Service Provider (ASP) access point for Microsoft Project data and synchronization with Pocket PC devices, making it even easier to track project status, update task information, and share project data with team members.

Further, the ability to statistically model work performance extends upon Microsoft's relationship with eLabor.com to enable more in depth resource management.

Metier and Microsoft will begin working together on the technical requirements to develop full synchronization capabilities in the near future. Metier has also committed to develop the next version of WorkLenz on the .NET architecture. The release of WorkLenz version 3.0 is planned to coincide with the next version of Microsoft Project.
