Quadstone Adds Links to WebTrends CommerceTrends and IBM DB2

In response to the market need for better integration between analytical and operational CRM systems, Quadstone announced a dedicated interface for WebTrends CommerceTrends as part of the Quadstone Connector Program. The Quadstone Connector Program extends Quadstone's open systems approach beyond call-level database interfaces to provide specific integration to market leading CRM, BI, Web, rules-based and personalization systems. Quadstone also announced that the Quadstone System now has a dedicated interface to IBM's DB2 Universal Database, and enhanced ODBC connectivity. These new capabilities augment Quadstone's existing array of database interfaces that includes native connections to Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase and NCR Teradata.

The advanced analytics and easy-to-use interface of the Quadstone System have been designed specifically for business and marketing professionals to action the best customer management rules based on a better understanding of customer behavior. This empowers them to tackle issues of customer response, risk, retention, and ROI in a more timely and effective manner, regardless of the operational systems they use. As the CRM market matures it is becoming more important to optimize the management of customer relationships across channels and different operational systems - driving the requirement for an open analytics system not tied to any single system.

Quadstone's testing and validation procedures for the WebTrends connector were completed last month, and Quadstone is already working on an implementation of the connector at a major US financial services organization.

The Quadstone Connector program links the Quadstone System directly with a range of operational and business tools. The four elements of the program provide the following interfaces:

• CRM Connect: for marketing automation, call center and other CRM systems
• Web Connect: for web log, website and other online data
• Rule Connect: provides rule-based links via XML standards such as PMML
• Report Connect: for output to standard reporting, BI and OLAP tools

The Quadstone Connector Program currently includes implementations for ATG Dynamo, Chordiant Vantage, Crystal Decisions, Graham Technology GTX, Intrinsic Selection Manager, NCR Relationship Optimizer, Xchange Valex, and other leading CRM systems.

Quadstone's new native interface to IBM's DB2 Universal Database is now available for DB2 version 7 on both Solaris and NT platforms, greatly strengthening Quadstone's coverage of the RDBMS market. The Quadstone System now also offers extended ODBC interfaces that provide more efficient connectivity to data from sources such as SAS, Access and Excel, leveraging suitable ODBC drivers for those systems.
