BioComp Systems Readies Powerful Business Optimization SW

BioComp Systems has just internally released their most powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) software tool yet: iImprove.

iImprove will change how businesses are run, how products are produced and how services are offered, driving business results to peak performance.

iImprove draws upon BioComp's advanced business intelligence technologies to extract cause and effect from business data and uses the resulting understanding to determine ways to maximize profitability, product conformance to target, environmental compliance and other key performance metrics. Companies will be able to optimize their operations considering a variety of performance factors, not only individually, but simultaneously, to achieve outstanding overall results.

BioComp already has a growing list of customers awaiting iImprove, including chemical manufacturers, energy producers, food processors and oil companies. The estimated benefits for the first customers already mounts into the 10s of millions of dollars savings per year and BioComp estimates there is a $50 billion savings opportunity for the product in the Fortune 500 companies alone. An early implementation of this optimization technology is already deployed on the factory floor of an aerospace company where it has enabled that customer to nearly double production with the same assets.

"iImprove is the capstone technology in our business and process intelligence systems," says Carl Cook, president and CEO of BioComp Systems. "Customers can already predict and monitor their performance and understand what drives it, but soon they can optimize it easily, considering a myriad of factors simultaneously."

Under the hood, iImprove performs non-linear, multi-objective constraint-based optimization for mere mortals. It employs new, innovative proprietary technologies invented and developed exclusively at BioComp. iImprove achieves its benefits from non-linear models of the complex interactions embedded in customers' business data. These capabilities will be available as a desktop tool as well as an integral part of BioComp's "Intellect" line of business and process intelligence server-ware. Customers already predict their performance and automatically sense problems with Intellect, but soon they can deploy iImprove's optimization capabilities on-line to tune their operations to keep on target.

Product release and first customer installations of iImprove, both desktop and on-line, are planned in less than 90 days.

With 10s of thousands of licenses in over 40 countries, BioComp Systems is a privately held, self-funded provider of intelligent systems that enhance customer business performance in manufacturing, energy, marketing and finance.
