Infogain Names Dowling vice president of BI

Infogain Corporation, a major provider of innovative eBusiness connectivity, custom relationship management solutions, announced it has named 17-year industry veteran Cindy Dowling to vice president of its Business Intelligence Practice. Reporting to Infogain's Chief Operating Officer Leonard Palomino Dowling is tasked with expanding Infogain's business intelligence and data warehouse offerings.

"Cindy and her group are focused on arming our client with competitive business solutions surrounding the area of analytical customer relationship management (CRM)," states Palomino. "Analytical solutions are especially critical given the present economic potential for increasing revenue and reducing costs. Cindy's extensive experience in delivering customer value will be a tremendous asset to these clients."

"Too many companies use their data warehouses as glorified reporting systems," says Dowling. Before joining Infogain, Dowling was the director of strategic partner sales at XML Solutions Inc, a B2B eCommerce infrastructure provider. Prior to XML Solutions, Dowling was the technical director of Business Development at CommerceQuest Inc, an EAI and B2B infrastructure company.

During her nine-year tenure at Informix Software, Dowling served in a variety of leadership roles. In Dowling's last position at Informix, she was the technical account manager and data warehouse architect for the Business Intelligence Solutions Engineering Group. Dowling has developed and implemented several significant data warehouse solutions including the MCI Customer Marketing data warehouse.

Dowling has also managed Information Systems and Services at Georgetown College and was a member of the University of Kentucky's adjunct faculty in the Department of Information Sciences. She holds a bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Georgetown College and is the author of several Informix technical training manuals and publications, including Relational Database Design, Building a Data Warehouse, Developing Enterprise Architechtures and Informix Extended Parallel Server Performance Tuning.
