APT Selected to Present at Capital Connection 2001

Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), a leading provider of marketing optimization software for multi-channel businesses, has been selected to present at Capital Connection 2001, a venture fair organized by the Mid-Atlantic Venture Capital Association (MAVA).

Jim Manzi, CEO of Applied Predictive Technologies will outline the company's business model and unique technology platform at the May 29-30 event to be held in Baltimore. MAVA selected 50 companies out of more than 300 applicants to present at the venture capital event, which will be attended by over 200 executives from dozens of venture capital firms.

"The companies presenting at Capital Connection 2001 are exciting, high quality companies," said Patrick Kerins, Chairman of Capital Connection 2001 and General Partner of Grotech Capital Group. "In this more challenging investment environment, we are getting back to basics and each of these companies represents solid, fundable businesses."

Founded a year and a half ago, Applied Predictive Technologies has had marked success with its marketing optimization software. Five Fortune 100 companies and many well-know brands, such Mrs. Fields, Sara Lee, and TCBY Enterprises, are using APT's products to optimize marketing in their brick- and-mortar networks, call centers and Web sites.

APT's software, built on a proprietary artificial intelligence technology, accurately predicts the best marketing tactics to use for each customer, store, or branch. The company's products have been shown to increase per customer revenue up to 40% and improve customer response rates more than five fold. Hans Peter Brondmo recently featured the unique technology platform created by APT in the ##7 New York Times bestseller "The Engaged Customer."
