SPSS Software Approved as New York State Vendor

In a continuing effort to streamline its procurement process, New York State has awarded SPSS BI, a division of SPSS Inc, a contract naming the company as an approved vendor. As a key supplier to the state, SPSS BI now offers 15 to 20 percent discounts on SPSS software and support to all state and local government agencies in New York State as well as eligible political subdivisions located within the state, such as public schools, colleges and other public entities. The new agreement is currently in effect and will save the state an estimated $1 million over the life of the contract.

"This contract makes it easier for governments to acquire crucial analytical software essential to maximizing program and service delivery," said Fiona McKenna, industry marketing manger, public sector at SPSS. "Advanced predictive analysis is invaluable when working in government and New York, as well as other states, have recognized specifically, its importance in delivering better service to citizens."
