PeopleSoft 8 CRM Sets Record Performance on Compaq

PeopleSoft announced record performance benchmarks for PeopleSoft 8 Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

The online benchmarks demonstrate the scalability of running the industry's only pure Internet CRM solution on Compaq ProLiant DL760 servers.

The results showed support for 30,000 concurrent users and performed CRM transactions at the rate of 162,900 per hour. These results were achieved on the new Compaq ProLiant servers and represent the first benchmarks completed on PeopleSoft 8 CRM.

"This benchmark proves that our next generation CRM product can support far more users running more transactions than ever before. These results are a 100-percent increase in transactions processed over our previous industry leading client/server benchmark," said Stan Swete, senior vice president and general manager PeopleSoft CRM. The benchmarks simulated enterprise users performing demanding tasks associated with PeopleSoft 8 CRM Support, Sales, FieldService and Interaction Management transactions on a Compaq ProLiant DL760 database server. The application server and database technology consisted of Compaq ProLiant servers running Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition database and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0. As with all PeopleSoft pure Internet applications, no code was installed on the client.
