InnaPhase/Oracle TO CREATE EARLY DRUG DEVELOPMENT DW

InnaPhase Corporation, a market leader and provider of end-to-end software solutions for Early Drug Development (EDD) and member of the Oracle Partner Program (OPP), announced plans to work with Oracle Corp, a leading provider of software for e-business, to develop the world's first data warehouse for Early Drug Development (EDD) information. As part of this relationship, InnaPhase will combine its scientific domain and technology expertise with Oracle's data warehousing design and software capabilities.

The EDD data warehouse will be linked to InnaPhase's vertical drug development systems, and will be designed to support the integration of third-party software products in order to help pharmaceutical companies integrate disparate data and applications. The technology will offer scientists and decision-makers the ability to manage early research and development information in a single data store that is designed to be compliant with the US Food & Drug Administration's regulations. The EDD data warehouse will also be designed to link into similar development efforts in the discovery and clinical areas, allowing faster throughput and information exchange across the entire R&D process. In the race to get new drugs to market faster, this new technology promises a way of better managing the explosion of new drug candidates coming into preclinical testing from drug discovery, and is expected to accelerate the selection of promising compounds for clinical development, while more effectively eliminating undesirable compounds sooner.

"Rapid evolution in techniques and technologies has taken place in many areas of pharmaceutical research and development, with drug development pipelines being filled beyond capacity by novel discovery approaches," said Peter J.D. Ryan, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of InnaPhase Corporation. "The result has been a dramatic increase in the number of preclinical and clinical studies conducted to support a new drug submission. Pharmaceutical companies face the challenge of deciding earlier and faster which drug candidates produce the best return on investment, in order to enter clinical testing. We believe that by linking all our current and future software products to the EDD data warehouse, created through our relationship with Oracle, InnaPhase can offer our customers substantial value by helping to speed drug development."

InnaPhase already has significant market share within the early drug development technology space through its vertical products. The EP Series is an enterprise technology solution for data management, analysis and reporting, designed to comply with FDA guidelines on electronic records and signatures (21 CFR Part 11). The EP Series manages pharmacokinetic (PK) data (how the body absorbs and metabolizes drugs) and pharmacodynamic (PD) data (the drug's effect on the body). The Watson LIMS system is specifically designed to support Bioanalytical/DMPK (Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetic) studies in drug development and also maintains regulatory compliance with the FDA's guidance on electronic records and signatures. Watson has been developed in conjunction with major pharmaceutical companies to accelerate bioanalysis and sample management in drug development. Watson and the EP Series are the only FDA-compliant protocol-driven enterprise information systems available for managing early development data, and provide extensive data analysis and reporting capabilities to scientists.

InnaPhase Corporation is a worldwide leader in software technology for early drug development.
