Porter Bibb Joins DIAGNOS' Board of Directors

DIAGNOS Inc, a leader in structured knowledge extraction artificial intelligence, announced that Porter Bibb has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Bibb is the founder and Managing Partner of New York-based Technology Partners (Holdings) LLC, a global merchant bank and strategic advisory consulting firm specializing in leading edge technologies serving the telecommunications, media, and financial services sectors.

Prior to founding Technology Partners in 1998, he was a partner and Managing Director and Director of Corporate Finance for over 14 years at Ladenburg, Thalmann & Co Inc. He has extensive experience in international investment banking, having filled senior positions with Bankers Trust Company, Interbro Ltd, and J.P. Morgan.

He is also renowned within the publishing sector, frequently contributing to publications such as Business Week on media and new media issues. As Director of Corporate Development with the New York Times Company, he identified, evaluated, and executed more than 20 acquisitions and other business combinations, and then launched US Magazine, serving as publisher for two years until the publication was sold for a substantial return on investment. He also managed Newsweek Magazine's 32 international editions and was the first publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine.

Mr. Bibb will replace Djamel Abdelkader Zighed, Ph.D., a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of DIAGNOS, who will devout his full-time efforts to ongoing development of the company's unique multimedia mining technology. Mr. Zighed, a senior professor and director of the knowledge engineering team at Universite Lumiere, Lyon II, France, is a renowned expert in knowledge engineering in the fields of computer-based learning, data mining, "Knowledge Discovery in Databases" (KDD), automatic classification, and artificial intelligence.
