Etica/Avellino Help Meet DataWarehouse Customer Demands

Avellino, the UK data integration consultancy and solutions provider, confirmed a reseller agreement with Etica Software, Spain's specialist in data management for data warehousing projects. Etica will resell Avellino Discovery, Avellino's automated data analysis tool to its customer base across Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina and other new regions in Europe and South America.

The agreement comes following demand from Etica's customers for accurate and reliable data analysis prior to integrating data into a datawarehouse or CRM application. Having previously worked together on data integration projects, the partnership consolidates the relationship and enables Avellino to meet its drive for market expansion and product penetration.

"Before partnering with Avellino we were unable to help our customers analyse their source data, but, by offering a sophisticated tool like Discovery we can now offer them a more comprehensive and automated data management solution," explained Oscar Jacynycz, CEO at Etica.

Since December last year, Etica has already resold Discovery into, Union Electrica Fenosa, a large Spanish utility company. Commenting on the sale Jacynycz said, "It is a tremendous achievement to have won this sale in just six months. The company was shocked to uncover data quality problems in its source environments it didn't know existed. It is very pleased with the capabilities of Discovery and the cost and time savings it anticipates it will bring to the projects together with the improved quality of data.

"Typically our business is with telecom and financial companies but because Discovery has been so well received by our customers we are hoping to drive sales in new market sectors and to push sales in new and existing regions across Europe and South America," he concluded.

"We are very pleased to have signed a formal partnership with Etica as it enables us to push our expansion across Europe and South America. Having already won a big customer in Spain shows that there is a real demand for a sophisticated data analysis product like Discovery so we are very confident that the partnership will lead to increased sales of our solution," said Tony Rodriguez, CEO at Avellino.

About Avellino Discovery

Avellino's data analysis automation tool Avellino Discovery automatically examines the source data to be moved into the new system infrastructure in integration projects. It provides a detailed description of the data content, structure, relationships and quality. Because it does not rely on data definition rules, metadata or out-of-date documentation, it is far more accurate than manual methods and eliminates the assumptions that can lead to project failure. Avellino Discovery has the additional advantage of allowing users to drill-down to the data itself should a problem or discrepancy be noticed and can help reduce the time required for data analysis by as much as 90 per cent over manual methods.
