Learning Tree Releases New SQL Server DTS Course

Learning Tree International Inc is announcing the release of a new Hands-On IT course, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services. In this course, participants learn to use SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services (DTS) to migrate data across a multitude of platforms and transform it into a highly usable format.

During this four-day course, participants gain extensive hands-on experience including how to:

  1. Create custom data movement solutions tailored to their business needs
  2. Apply DTS graphical tools and programmable objects to extract, transform and consolidate data from disparate sources into single or multiple destinations
  3. Import from and send to Web and FTP sites
  4. Troubleshoot DTS package errors using the DTS package logs and exception files
  5. Optimize performance with SQL-based transformations.

"Today's organizations have data stored on a wide range of platforms in a myriad of formats. In this course, participants will learn to utilize powerful DTS tools to extract, transform and integrate data from a variety of sources and present it in a form that is most valuable for the end-user," said John Moriarty, vice president of Product Development for Reston, VA-based Learning Tree.

This course is valuable for anyone responsible for managing and implementing data migration including database developers and administrators, analysts, engineers and consultants.
