SPSS Names Davidson / Schohn, vice presidents

SPSS Inc announces the promotions of Louis Davidson to vice president and international controller and Terrence Schohn to vice president of corporate administration. In this new position, Davidson, based in the United Kingdom, has worldwide responsibility for the legal, financial and administrative systems of all SPSS offices outside of the Americas. Schohn, based at the company's Chicago headquarters, is responsible for product fulfillment, risk and facilities management and capital purchasing for the company's 40-plus offices worldwide.

"Louis and Terry have made great contributions to the success of SPSS. They each bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to these positions, which will be key in our ongoing strategy to expand our global presence," said Ed Hamburg, SPSS executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to his promotion, Davidson, 48, served as the company's senior director of international systems. He has also worked as the finance director for Quantime Ltd, UIS Ltd and as an accountant at Pannel Kerr Forster, Chartered Accountants. Davidson has been a Chartered Accountant for 25 years, which is the UK-equivalent to a certified public accountant.

Schohn, 57, joined SPSS in 1983 as budget manager. Prior to his promotion, he served SPSS as assistant treasurer and director of corporate administration. He has also worked for the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. Schohn holds a master's of business administration from Duquense University, and is an active member of the Chicago Software Association.
