ACS Wins Competitive Bid for Delaware DHSS

ACS, a leading full-service provider of business process and technology outsourcing solutions, announced it had been selected in a competitive bid process to provide the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) with a high performance Enterprise Data Warehouse/Decision Support System (EDW/DSS). The EDW/DSS will give the State the ability to access and manipulate information in a rapid and flexible fashion, thereby supporting program planning, policy development, and program assessment for many years to come.

As the single State agency responsible for implementing Medicaid Title XIX and related programs, the DHSS enterprise-wide data warehousing approach will be an advance in decision support models in the public sector. The new EDW/DSS will be a giant step for ACS toward leading the EDW/DSS market with the most advanced all encompassing EDW/DSS available anywhere.

Delaware had a crucial need to identify and implement the right technology and business processes to effectively manage its Medicaid and related programs, and is excited at the prospect of implementing and EDW/DSS developed by ACS. The ACS team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a system that will provide the framework for decision support, comparative analysis, tracking and reporting. Additionally, all State staff will be fully trained in the use of the new system.
