Eagle Eye Launches FPCWeb Online Contracts Database

Eagle Eye Publishers officially launched its new online contracts database, FPCWeb.

FPCWeb is an Internet-based data mining application that creates quick, descriptive reports about contract spending by U.S. Government Agencies over the most recent three fiscal years.

The application is designed to meet the market research needs of marketing, sales, business development executives, consultants and journalists who need detailed information on federal agency spending trends as well as details about individual contracts, markets and companies.

FPCWeb is a streamlined version of Eagle Eye's robust, CD-based contract database application called Federal Prime Contracts on CD-ROM (FPC).

FPCWeb covers unclassified prime contracts by major cabinet level and independent agencies issuing contracts valued at least $25,000. There can be up to three full fiscal years of data available at any one time. The initial release of the application includes twenty-four searchable fields that can be used to create subsets of data, which can be displayed in any one of six-different report formats.

FPCWeb is both a strategic and a tactical business development application. Strategic uses include assessing agency, company, market and geographic spending totals, trends and market shares. This information can then be used to prioritize federal and commercial sales targets, particularly with GSA Schedule and other multiple award contracts.

Tactical uses of the data include identifying contract opportunities within individual agencies and targeting competitors, teaming partners and acquisition candidates. Additionally, financial analysts and news reporters study the data to report on short- and long-term company, agency and geographic spending trends.

"Our goal with FPCWeb is to disperse contract and marketing information more widely throughout our client organizations," says Paul Murphy, Eagle Eye's founder and president. "By making a common source of contract information widely available, contractors can make quicker, more informed business decisions. This lowers costs, increases productivity, helps firms get to market faster and contributes to their bottom line."

FPC Web is affordably priced; the first user in an organization pays $995 per year. Every additional user in the same organization pays just $500 per year. To order or get a free, day-long trial contact Paul Murphy at pmurphy@eagleeyeinc.com, or call 703-359-8980.
