Computers & Processors:CoSORT NOW AVAILABLE FOR IBM eServer iSeries OS/400Innovative Routines International (IRI) Inc (The CoSORT Company) announced the availability of its flagship data sorting and ETL (extract, transform, load) package, CoSORT, on IBM eServer iSeries running the OS/400 V5R1 Portable Applications Solutions Environment (OS/400 PASE). CoSORT developers and end-users can now exploit the copper and silicon-on-insulator processors, dynamic logical partitioning and robust system availability of IBM's integrated business server as they integrate and stage data warehouses and generate reports. CoSORT was also recently ported to, and is now available for, Turbolinux and SuSE Linux on IBM eServer iSeries. "IBM eServer iSeries users have requested our high-volume e-business sort package and we have responded," observed IRI Business Development vice president David Friedland. "CoSORT is excited about introducing its open systems sort and ETL solutions to the iSeries database and data warehouse/Webhouse communities. We will work with MIS directors and data architects -- both in corporate application development and ISV capacities -- to speed high volume sorts, loads and data transformations on the next generation AS/400."
