Integration Made Less Complex Through Use of XML

Niku Corporation announced that Niku 6, Niku's latest software solution for Services Relationship Management, will be delivered with capabilities for seamless integration to SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft and Siebel ERP and CRM enterprise applications.

Integration to third-party software applications will be less complex through the use of the Niku XML Open Gateway, an Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Java based set of application programming interfaces (API's). The API's provide a consistent mechanism for integrating any application to Niku 6 while preserving data integrity through the enforcement of product business rules.

"The technologies selected in Niku 6 are key for simplified integration to SAP and other third party ERP and CRM packages," said Mark A. Moore, senior vice president of development and CTO, Niku Corporation.

The most significant benefit of Niku's approach is that it allows Niku 6 to operate effectively between front and back office applications while providing seamless connectivity. The use of XML substantially reduces the costs and complexities associated with product integrations. In line with Niku's continuing effort to deliver software based on EAI and other interface standards, the Niku XML Open Gateway adheres to SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), a W3C standard that is strongly endorsed by IBM and Microsoft.

With the introduction of Niku 6, Niku will make available an Oracle Financials V11.03 XML Open Gateway connector for general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and connectors to SAP Financials, Oracle Projects, and PeopleSoft HR, as well as select CRM applications.
