SoftTree Tech Releases Version 4 of DB Tools for Oracle

SoftTree Technologies released the new version 4 of the "DB Tools for Oracle" -- the rich set of graphical tools for day-to-day database managing, tuning, real-time and pro-active monitoring, troubleshooting, developing, comparing, benchmarking and reporting for Oracle database servers. This new version contains large set of tightly-integrated graphical components and components for unattended back-end processing that provide DBAs with unified Oracle solutions, focused on solving most Oracle management and monitoring problems as opposed to point products that do not fully address DBAs needs. These Oracle solutions deliver unparalleled Oracle database availability by addressing common performance and database administration issues of customers' Oracle implementations. The solutions include: DB Monitor Expert, DB Tuning Expert, DB Job Expert, DB Trends Expert, DB Index Expert, DB Audit Expert, DB Alert Expert, DB Log Expert and other.

DB Tools also contains several graphical tools for Oracle developers. These tools are specifically designed to aid Oracle developers in their every day database development, migration and data import/export tasks, to provide them with solutions for complete database development life-cycle. The solutions include: SQL and PL/SQL Editor and Debugger, PL/SQL Profiler, DB Difference Expert, DB Zip Expert, numerous Database and Schema Explorers, schema and object reverse-engineering tools, and Java Editor for developing Oracle Java-enabled code.

PL/SQL Profiler -- this module provides user-friendly graphical interface for the Oracle Probe Profiler API. It also enhances this API with many additional features not available in competitive products. PL/SQL Profiler supports multiple simultaneous profiler projects, persistent saving of collected profiler data, extended global statistics for profiler sessions and more.

Automated Alert Log and Space Monitor packages for DB Alert Expert module -- these packages address two most common database monitoring tasks. Both packages utilize DB Alert Expert functions to automatically notify personnel about database problems before they occur, allowing the personnel to take preventive steps for ensuring 24x7 database availability.

Java Editor -- this is a simple but very efficient multi-document Java Development Environment with built-in File Explorer. The Java Editor supports Java syntax highlighting and a single-click Java code compilation on a back-end Oracle database right from the editor's window. It also supports direct loading into database of already compiled Java classes and resources. Graphical Database Setup Utility -- this new component allows graphical installation/uninstallation and configuration of various DB Tools optional back-end components.

DB Tools for Oracle has a flat license fee of $489 per seat, which is a small fraction of cost of competitive products. Individual DB Tools components are also available separately at significantly reduced prices.
