Hummingbird EIP Selected by Medisite for Internet Portal

Hummingbird Ltd, a world-leading enterprise software company, announced that Medisite, a French-language Internet Portal serving the medical field, has purchased Hummingbird EIP (Hummingbird Enterprise Information Portal).

Currently Hummingbird EIP is being used to power www.medisite-pro.fr, a Website containing medical information targeted primarily at medical professionals. Medisite has also purchased SearchServer to power searches on medisite-pro.fr and medisite.fr, a site targeting the general public. These sites will provide users with high value tools and services including the possibility for each member-user to customize his or her own information space via e-clips, the ability to design "one page as a set of pages", a series of "ready to associate" applications and the cross utilization of contents.

In June 2000, Medisite launched a comparative study of Content Management Portals and an analysis of options from different software companies on the market. Medisite's goal was to become an indispensable information, training and service platform for health professionals. The choice of Hummingbird EIP was based on several considerations including the ease of customization and optimal internal and external content management with interactive functionality, all within a single logon.
