MTI DEMONSTRATES LATEST DATA STORAGE SOLUTIONS

LotsaData Corporation is not a real company, but if it were, it would have benefited this week from the products of MTI Technology Corp, a leading provider of data storage and business solutions. At the just-concluded Fall 2001 Storage Networking World (SNW) expo in Orlando, Fla., MTI provided its fault-tolerant, high-density storage solutions to the operation of LotsaData, a simulated enterprise environment demonstrating multiple vendors' system and storage products working together.

It was all part of the Interoperability Lab and Demo, a popular SNW event sponsored and organized by member companies of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Interoperability Committee. MTI is an associate member of the SNIA and was a Gold Sponsor of SNW.

The LotsaData simulation featured the latest advancements in storage networking technologies, interconnected through local-, metropolitan-, and wide-area network infrastructures. MTI supplied its industry-leading Vivant V-series, incorporating the company's recently introduced V-Cache application accelerator.

Vivant V-series products provide exceptional flexibility in solving the most stringent data availability requirements, while V-Cache dramatically improves the performance of transaction-intensive applications. A sharable file caching system that allows multiple, heterogeneous servers to access data up to 100 times faster than traditional rotating disk drives, V-Cache provides virtually unlimited capacity and scalability to meet both current and future application requirements.
