Informatica Names Janice D. Chaffin to Board of Directors

Informatica Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise analytic software, announced that Janice Durbin Chaffin, vice president and general manager of Hewlett-Packard Company's Solutions Organization (HPSO), has been appointed to Informatica's board of directors.

"Given her wealth of experience in managing multi-million dollar business units at HP, we expect Janice to play a critical role in helping Informatica maintain its leading position in the enterprise analytics space and foster the company's continued growth."

As vice president and general manager of the HP Solutions Organization, Chaffin is responsible for managing a global organization that provides IT infrastructure and business solutions to services providers and enterprise customers. Key responsibilities include setting the company's framework for solutions, developing infrastructure and business solutions software, establishing strong linkages with external partners, and growing HP's solutions businesses.

Chaffin has worked with HP since 1981, holding a variety of senior executive positions. Prior to her current position, she served as the vice president and general manager for HP's Business Critical Computing (BCC) division. She was also general manager for HP's High Performance Systems Division (HPSD) from 1997 to 1999, and general manager for HP's Enterprise Systems Division (ESD) from 1996 to 1997. She has received a master's of business administration from UCLA and a bachelor's degree from University of California, San Diego.

Chaffin's appointment brings Informatica's board to six members.
