Andre Boisvert Appointed to Perseus' Board of Directors

Perseus Development Corporation, a industry leader in Web-based survey research, software and services, announced the appointment of Andre M. Boisvert to its Board of Directors. Boisvert has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of the technology industry and has guided many companies to market leadership.

Boisvert has a long track record of helping companies attain the next level of success - expanding the customer base, solidifying strategic partnerships and growing revenue. He has led the strategic direction of companies such as Oracle Corp, as senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing; Microsoft Corp, where he advised management; IBM, serving in various executive and management positions; and SAS Institute, serving as president and Chief Operating Officer. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of Sagent Technology.

Mr. Boisvert additionally serves on the board of directors of several companies, works as an independent consultant, and is an active limited partner in two East Coast-based venture funds.

NetGenesis Co-Founders Join SPSS Inc

Bringing innovative vision and expertise in online analytics and Internet development, Matt Cutler and Eric Richard, the co-founders of NetGenesis Corp, have joined SPSS Inc, a worldwide provider of analytical technology. Cutler and Richard will provide insight, direction and vision to help shape the company's technological and strategic direction.

"By co-founding NetGenesis and developing their solution for online data analysis, they made a great contribution to the field of analytics. As vice president of corporate marketing, Cutler's primary responsibility is to lend insight and expertise in analytical technology to help shape and define the corporation's strategic and technological vision. He will also serve as a spokesperson to industry analysts and members of the financial community.

As a vice president of research and development, Richard will drive the integration of SPSS Inc and NetGenesis analytical technologies. He will also continue to be responsible for research and development at the company's new office in Cambridge, Mass., including the development, quality assurance, engineering and support of the NetGenesis product line.

Cutler and Richard co-founded NetGenesis in 1994. While at NetGenesis, Cutler served as chief e-business intelligence officer and director of analytic services. In this role, he lead the company's strategic consulting practice, marketplace education initiatives and standards development efforts. Cutler co-authored the 60-page whitepaper entitled, "E-Metrics: Business Metrics for the New Economy," which was awarded the Best Whitepaper for Computer Software by BitPipe Inc. He has been a founder and chairperson of industry associations including the Customer Profile Exchange standard (an XML-based standard for privacy-enabled customer data interchange) and the Webmasters Guild (the world's first professional association of Webmasters). Cutler was named a finalist in the 2001 Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and to the 1999 Mass eComm 10. He holds a B.S. with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to his position at SPSS Inc, Richard served as chief technology officer at NetGenesis, directing the company's technology development and its accelerated growth. A recognized leader in the Internet development industry, Richard is the principal author of "How to Build a Web site," the first technical resource guide for Web site developers. He is also the creator and developer of the award-winning "Sports Information Service," the first sports resource site on the Web. Prior to NetGenesis, Richard worked at IBM's Almaden Research Center, where he was involved in developing handwriting recognition software. He was also named a finalist in the 2001 Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Richard is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
