Financial Watch:

Windward's Enterprise Management Solution Deal with GSOC

Windward Consulting Group Inc, a leading provider of operational management solutions, announced that it was selected by Georgia System Operations Corporation, GSOC, to design and deploy an Enterprise Management System solution that will more efficiently and effectively maintain the company's technology infrastructure and significantly enhance troubleshooting capabilities. Using a combination of best-of-breed applications, Windward has created an integrated solution that assures quality of the network, availability of applications and services, and provides operations with the ability to proactively monitor the company's entire infrastructure.

Windward's enterprise technology management system assures network quality by allowing GSOC to pull network data for clearer, more concise trouble-ticketing information and reduced MTTR. The integrated system reports congestion and problems before end users are greatly affected so that GSOC can significantly enhance troubleshooting efforts and reduce overall downtime. This translates to lower operating costs for the company and more efficient and reliable service to its customers.

"In the energy and services market in Georgia, we need to have the infrastructure available to provide our services to our customers. By enhancing our troubleshooting capability and our ability to proactively monitor our infrastructure, we will be able to maintain our highly reliable system operations, proactively solve problems and keep our systems extremely efficient," said Gary Williamson, GSOC Chief Director, Information Technology. "Windward's integrated system allows us to better monitor and manage our diverse systems and infrastructure. In our effort to maintain quality practices, customer confidentiality and excellent service, Windward is helping us to make our business relationships and customer service even better than they were before."

"With companies that have not implemented integrated technology solutions like the advanced solution we're deploying for GSOC, just the physical act of processing trouble tickets takes between 50 to 75 percent of their actual troubleshooting time," said Sean McDermott, president and CEO of Windward Consulting Group. "We will cut this time in half with our solution and integration of best-of-breed applications. The bottom line is a faster response time and fewer network outages, translating to better service."
