CRG QuickOLAP for Microsoft Great Plains

Corporate Renaissance Group (CRG), a leading provider of solutions and services that drive better business management and performance, announced the release of QuickOLAP, an out-of-the-box Business Intelligence solution for the Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions platform.

QuickOLAP leverages Microsoft technology to harness the value and rich functionality of Microsoft SQL Server and Analysis Services. By supporting the Microsoft data warehousing environment, CRG is providing Microsoft Great Plains customers instant access to analysis-ready data at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.

Seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Great Plains, QuickOLAP effortlessly extracts Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Great Plains eEnterprise data to create Analysis Services cubes. By embracing the integration of Analysis Services with applications such as Microsoft Excel -- QuickOLAP liberates users from having to purchase an independent tool for analysis and reporting.

"QuickOLAP demonstrates CRG's complete understanding of Microsoft technologies and the reporting needs of Microsoft Great Plains customers," said Nigel Stanley, Operations Director for Xdat Software, a leading Microsoft Great Plains reseller in the UK. "By embracing Microsoft's data warehousing vision and leveraging existing tools like Excel, CRG is delivering an efficient solution for transforming operational data into business-critical information at a very attractive price."

With Analysis Services at its heart, QuickOLAP provides the flexibility for customers to choose their reporting and analysis tool. If Excel is the preferred option, users can access the Analysis Services cubes created by QuickOLAP using Excel PivotTables -- a familiar and comfortable environment to everyone. Should more robust reporting tools like Cognos PowerPlay be desired, QuickOLAP exposes Microsoft's open architecture for the integration of third-party products with Analysis Services.

"With QuickOLAP, CRG is unleashing the power of SQL Server and delivering advanced analytical capabilities to a larger audience," said Dr. Vijay Jog, President of CRG. "Most Dynamics and eEnterprise customers have the technology in place to enable Business Intelligence processes. QuickOLAP is simply leveraging this technology to empower businesses to engage in better informed decision-making -- quickly, simply and efficiently."

QuickOLAP is available now and delivers Analysis Services cube building functionality for Microsoft Great Plains Inventory, General Ledger, Payables Management with Purchase Order Processing and Receivables Management with Sales Ordering Processing and Invoicing modules.

Coming in May 2002, QuickOLAP will expose Microsoft Office XP smart tags technology. With smart tags, Excel 2002 users will have one click access back to the source data within their Dynamics and eEnterprise environments -- significantly reducing the time it takes to acquire information.

QuickOLAP will provide insight to every type of user, from knowledge workers to managers to key decision-makers. QuickOLAP's seamless integration with Microsoft Great Plains enables organizations to focus resources on revenue-generating activities -- not on lengthy data modeling or custom programming projects.
