Smith Adds Strategic and Financial Expertise to DataCore

DataCore Software, a leading provider of storage virtualization and networking software, announced the addition of Robert F. Smith, managing principal with Vista Equity Partners, to the Company's Board of Directors. Vista Equity Partners, based in San Francisco, was the lead investor in DataCore's recent financing round. Vista Equity contributes experience, support and capital to fuel DataCore to realize its full potential as the premier open storage networking software provider.

Before joining Vista Equity Partners, Mr. Smith focused on mergers and acquisitions in the technology industry for Goldman, Sachs & Co. While there, he was co-head of the Enterprise Systems and Storage Business within the Technology Group. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University, where he graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma honors. Mr. Smith also serves on the Board of Directors, for SourceNet Solutions, CRAIG/is Ltd and CRC Information Services.
