Core Integration to Build DW for Wyoming Justice Network

Core Integration Partners Inc, a leading provider of data management services, has been selected by the Wyoming Supreme Court to build a data warehouse that will be central in Wyoming's initiative to provide electronic access and exchange of information throughout the state justice system.

The data warehouse will enable the development of a Statewide Court Information Store, which will provide rapid citation and case-related information updates from courts to key agencies.

The project is part of an initiative called the Wyoming Justice Network, which was conceived to give state and local law enforcement and other related court agencies up-to-date information on cases and individuals, as well as to provide public Web access to court services and information.

"As technology moves ahead so speedily, government must respond to the desire of its agencies and the public for more efficient and effective use of that technology in delivering services and information. That is our goal," said Jim Bivona, CIO for the Wyoming Supreme Court and head of the steering committee of the Wyoming Judicial Technology Task Force. "The data warehouse is an important first step, and we selected Core Integration because of its success on projects in similar environments."

The architecture for the Wyoming project will be Core Integration's own The Matrix Methodology and its breakthrough Data Vault architecture, which is a data modeling technique that allows massive data storage in minutely detailed format, as well as the ability to develop relationships among different types of data for effective data mining.

The architecture is fully flexible and scalable, allowing easy integration of data from inside or outside the justice network as it is expanded.

"Our goal is not just to provide solutions that answer today's needs but to give our clients, like the Wyoming courts, a scalable and maintainable system that will allow them to respond to future needs," said Lynn Leadley, senior director of delivery services for Core Integration.

The flexibility of Core Integration's architecture allowed its overall design to be fitted to the experiences and competencies of the Wyoming courts staff.

Key tools in the Court Information Store will be the highly regarded Informatica PowerMart Data Integration Platform Product, which allows connectivity, interchange and integration of all data across a wide area network or the Internet, as well as Brio Software's Brio Intelligence product suite, widely recognized as the most reliable and easiest to use for reporting and analysis of data. Firstlogic will also be used to cleanse and standardize the data.

Core Integration's design calls for a distribution mechanism that will "push" reports automatically across the justice system, giving regular, daily readouts, and it also allows on-demand reports, permitting users to retrieve only what they need.
