FalconStor & StorageTek PARTNER TO CAPTURE AUSTRIAN MARKET

As part of the collaboration, StorageTek Austria will sell FalconStor's IPStor software directly and through partners, with the assurance that StorageTek's 9176 Disk Subsystem can be fully integrated with IPStor. Further strengthening their commitment, both companies agreed to demonstrate their products interoperability at future European trade shows, such as Exponet.

The two storage experts have jointly tested and cross-certified StorageTek's 9176 Disk Subsystem and FalconStor's IPStor software to offer customers, reseller and distributors a high-performance, secure network storage solution across Fibre Channel and/or IP-based SAN.

"Together with FalconStor we have developed an integrated Network Storage solution that is running reliable in every environment, that reports shortage immediately and that helps to reduce storage management costs by leveraging the existing storage investments", said Gerhard Novacek, CEO StorageTek Austria, about the collaboration.

The collaboration underlines StorageTek's strategy to offer services such as data replication, disaster recovery, backup, use and efficiency of the Linear Tape-Open Technology (LTO) and the L700 libraries. StorageTek's 9176 Disk Subsystem brings high performance and SAN-ready features for 14.4 terabytes of capacity. The full-Fibre Raid disk subsystem supports NT, Windows 2000, SUN, HP, RS/6000, SGI, Novell and Java-enabled operating systems. It enables functions such as data replication, cluster management, LUN masking and array management.
