ParallelDB JOINS THE EMC DEVELOPERS PROGRAM

ParallelDB Inc, a real-time, cross-platform, open, database replication software provider, announced it has joined the EMC Developers Program. ParallelDB will utilize its pdbREPLICATE software to develop real-time database replication solutions using EMC application programming interfaces (APIs) for EMC Corporation's Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) remote mirroring software, and TimeFinder local mirroring software for EMC's Symmetrix information storage systems. ParallelDB also plans to integrate replication solutions for MirrorView and SnapView mirroring software for CLARiiON information storage systems.

ParallelDB's real-time database replication tools address one of the most challenging business continuity issues: providing real-time back-up of extremely large, transaction-driven databases that are almost never idle. Its 'Active-Active' updates provide constant replication to and from the source and the target of live databases, regardless of location, while preserving optimal database performance. Because ParallelDB replication supports active targets, remote replica databases established by TimeFinder and SnapView will be current and active for productive use. Additionally, CLARiiON storage systems will be able to deliver a real-time database replication solution.
