INTERSAN EXPANDS SERVICES & SUPPORT TO FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES

InterSAN Inc a pioneer in the new field of applications-based storage area management (SAM) software, announced the launch of its Professional Services Partner (PSP) Program and the program's first members, Greenwich Technology Partners (GTP) and Communication Technical Systems Inc (CTS). Through the PSP Program, specific personnel from GTP, CTS, and other partner companies will be certified to provide customers with a comprehensive suite of high-quality storage area management consulting, implementation, and training services for PATHLINE software, InterSAN's flagship product.

Customer business needs for service and support of storage management projects was validated by Ray Paquet, vice president and research director for Gartner Group in his presentation at Gartner PlanetStorage 2002 conference on "Organizing for Storage Management." Paquet stated, "storage management projects that do not provide dedicated staff to the project either internally or externally are two-thirds less likely to achieve project goals and ROI targets."

The PSP Program is designed to accelerate InterSAN's partnerships with industry-leading professional services companies serving Fortune 500 customers, extending the breadth and depth of PATHLINE expertise. This program combines InterSAN's storage area management leadership and technical expertise with the experience of industry-leading professional service providers to deliver world-class services using InterSAN solutions.

To be certified, representatives from a professional services company must:

• complete a training course in PATHLINE installation, customization and enduser training, and
• participate in two PATHLINE deployments at customer facilities. GTP has successfully completed PATHLINE training and participated in the Phase 1 deployment of over 40 terabytes at Northern Trust and is one deployment away from being the first professional services company certified in the PSP Program.
