BakBone SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES VAULTSHARE

BakBone Software, a global provider of storage management software, announced the availability of their newest Application Plugin Module VaultShare, an Automated Cartridge System Library Software (ACSLS) support module that provides support for StorageTek automated libraries. StorageTek (Storage Technology Corp), ACSLS is a library-enablement application that functions as the central service provider for all library operations. VaultShare allows NetVault customers to map and control a dedicated set of tape resources while sharing the StorageTek library safely with other applications assuring media reliability when storing and managing critical backup data.

VaultShare provides the superior performance, rapid deployment and ease of use inherent in NetVault's modular design by allowing customers to leverage their existing investment in StorageTek's automated tape libraries. StorageTek, a leader in the tape automation market provides centralized tape management solutions for heterogeneous environments while extending library resource sharing to any number of diverse applications.
