SPECTRA ANNOUNCES NEW AGREEMENTS WITH CANADIAN RESELLERS

Spectra Logic, an industry-leading manufacturer of high-performance tape libraries for data protection and backup, announced four Canadian resellers agreements with Axidata, Care Factor, DAR-ProLan and Stoneworks Technology. The addition of these resellers confirms Spectra Logic's increased support for the Canadian market, and its tape libraries and services will complement the storage offerings of these Canadian VARs (Value Added Reseller).

Axidata is one of Canada's leading computer technology resellers, with more than $90 million in sales, nine Canadian locations and a staff of more than 135. "This partnership will enable Axidata to offer its 10,000 corporate, government, medical, educational and institutional clients innovative data storage tape libraries, with advanced interface technologies to address their SAN & NAS requirements."

Care Factor is a group of specialists in the data center environment working out of three locations in Canada with 25 full-time employees and bringing in approximately $6million in revenue. Care Factor serves the needs of a variety of industries: manufacturing, health care, waste treatment, oil and gas, utilities, government, scientific research labs and retail business. The reseller is known for its focus on eight value chain offerings: the design and build of the data center, technology relocation, maintenance, face management, hardware sales, storage solutions, business continuity and consulting.

For fifteen years, DAR-ProLan has been committed to providing complete information technology and services to its customers in the Greater Toronto area. Stoneworks Technologies is a growing company that attained approximately $3million in sales during its first year of operation.
