Xbridge To Demonstrate Windows-To-Mainframe Data Access

Xbridge Systems, an authority on mainframe data access, will demonstrate realtime Windows-to-mainframe data-access at the SHARE Conference (booth 100) August 19 to 21.

Xbridge Host Data Connect enables Windows applications and browsers to quickly and securely access corporate data in System/390 mainframes. The most robust, cost-effective and easiest-to-use product of its kind, Host Data Connect enables users to access that data in real time in Word, Excel and other standard desktop applications. Data can be accessed -- on demand -- through intranets, extranets or the Internet, without requiring additional IT resources. This plug-and-play product remains under complete control of the IT staff and meets all S/390 security and data-integrity requirements.

Xbridge Systems will be making an announcement before SHARE regarding increased database support. The company recently announced that Host Data Connect now supports extensible Markup Language (XML), making it even easier to use mainframe data in virtually all key desktop applications. The product supports virtually all industry standard interfaces and languages including XML, NET, OLE DB, ADO Active X, C, C++, Visual Basic, VB Script, VB.NET and Java.

Ron Hankison, president and CEO of Xbridge, will provide more details in his presentation "Free Your Mainframe Data from its Data Jail" (session 1522) on Tuesday, August 20, at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to viewing the real-time demonstration, attendees can register to win an Xbox console. Also, attendees can enter the Xbridge Sweepstakes to win a Host Data Connect license for one year (a $7,500 value). Entry forms will be available at the booth.
