Features - Enterprise Data Insights:COOPER TURBOCOMPRESSOR DEPLOYS FalconStor INFRASTRUCTUREFalconStor Software Inc, a leading provider of network storage infrastructure software, has announced that Cooper Turbocompressor (CTC), a leading manufacturer of oil-free centrifugal compressors, has selected and deployed FalconStor's IPStor solution to ensure the reliability, high availability and cost efficiency of its storage infrastructure. Its Notes Domino, NT and other mission-critical servers are now built on IPStor to leverage its enterprise storage services. Cooper Turbocompressor, a division of Cooper Cameron Corporation (CCC), needed to move from a direct-attached storage to a network-attached storage environment. CTC had to migrate their NT and Notes Domino servers to a NAS infrastructure, and was searching for a robust storage solution that could consolidate their storage hardware, leverage data availability by aggregating and provisioning storage capacity, and provide high availability and complete transactional integrity. After considering other solutions, CTC decided to implement IPStor, leveraging the product's storage services such as Synchronous Mirroring, Snapshot Copy, and Zero-Impact Backup. "The versatility of FalconStor's solution unlocks the value of our information assets in ways that were not previously possible. IPStor's ability to give us centralized storage management and storage services are key benefits, protecting CTC's critical Notes data in our migration to an Exchange environment," said Jerry Martindale, System Administrator of Cooper Turbocompressor. "Interoperating with other storage vendor's hardware also helped make Cooper Turbocompressor's transition to an IPStor-based storage infrastructure virtually seamless." Cooper Turbocompressor's NAS environment includes IPStor working in conjunction with Extreme Networks switches, SysConnect adapters, and StorageTek D173 storage array. The collaborative efforts from FalconStor, StorageTek, SysConnect and Extreme Networks helped CTC reduce the complexity and costs of managing their growing and more widely accessed information infrastructure.
