TextOre Inc Deploys Falconstor's IPStor

FalconStor Software Inc, a leading provider of network storage infrastructure software, has announced that TextOre Inc, a provider of text mining software and services, has deployed FalconStor technology as its storage infrastructure to centralize and manage storage for its blade server farm.

CorData Inc, a Gaithersburg, MD-based regional storage integrator, has embedded FalconStor's IPStor into its Storage Gateway Server, a storage appliance product, and has leveraged IPStor technology to win the bid for TextOre's business.

TextOre provides software and services that allow businesses to accurately examine and extract highly specific information from very large volumes of unstructured text. The company recently added all patents issued by the US Patent & Trademark Office from 1976 to the present to its knowledge library, allowing TextOre to better serve its clients in the insurance, financial, medical, and legal industries. This dramatic increase in data led TextOre to search for a combined NFS and iSCSI solution. The tool had to offer both centralized, managed storage for NFS blade server access, and higher performance iSCSI access for block-level I/O. The IPStor solution fit the bill, allowing TextOre to easily provision new blades whether they are functioning as web servers or database servers.
