Short Takes - People & Positions:Industry Veteran Mike Sutkowski Joins SANgate as Vice President of Sales.SANgate Systems Inc, developers of intelligent data movers for enterprise storage networks, have announced that Mike Sutkowski has joined the company as vice president of sales. In this capacity, Sutkowski is responsible for SANgate's revenue programs including direct sales, channel sales and OEM sales. Sutkowski joins SANgate from Auspex Corporation where he was vice president for eastern region sales. "Mike is an accomplished sales executive in the information technology industry with a proven track record in creating and managing distribution channels with an application focus," said Patrick Courtin, chairman and CEO, SANgate Systems. Prior to Auspex, Sutkowski was general manager for Data General's AViiON Server Channels and Healthcare divisions. Previously, Sutkowski was vice president of sales for VMARK Software. During his ten-year employment with the company, he grew its channels organization from supporting VMARK as a software start-up to a successful public company. Sutkowski holds a BA in Computer Science from Oswego State University, Oswego, NY. Kalido Group Appoints Gib Bassett to Lead US MarketingKalido Group, the global information integration software provider has announced the appointment of Gib Bassett to senior marketing manager for North America.
