ADIC AND SGI ENTER INTO RESELLER ALLIANCE

SGI, a leading supplier of advanced data management solutions for high-performance computing and visualization environments, and Advanced Digital Information Corporation, a leading supplier of Intelligent Storage solutions to the open systems market, have announced the signing of a reseller alliance that will make ADIC's entire line of automated tape libraries available through SGI's worldwide sales force. The agreement makes the industry's most scalable line of tape automation products for workgroup, data center, and enterprise-wide applications available to SGI customers in industries such as sciences, energy, media, manufacturing and government and defense.

ADIC's library solutions scale from 15 to more than 70,000 tape cartridges and are accessible from a single drive to several hundred drives in single or mixed-media configurations. Supported drive technologies include LTO, SDLT, DLT and AIT. All Scalar series libraries also feature intelligent storage networking support that allows them to integrate directly into highperformance storage area networks, including the SGI SAN Server 1000 system, for storage consolidation applications and more reliable SAN backup.

The new agreement covers the entire line of ADIC's intelligent libraries and enables the SGI sales force to work directly with the ADIC sales force. The agreement expands the existing relationship between the two companies, broadening its scope across all of SGI's vertical markets worldwide.
