StorageTek UNVEILS PURCHASE REBATE PROGRAMS

How does a company make an ironclad data storage investment in a climate of tightening IT budgets?

At HP World, StorageTek (Storage Technology Corp), a storage services and solutions expert, announced a series of rebate programs to assist HP, Compaq and ATL library users with their year end purchases of new library technology or the upgrade of their current library with new drives and components from StorageTek.

For HP, Compaq or ATL users who are considering a purchase of a new library system, a new library with new tape drives or just new tape drive technology for their current HP library system, StorageTek will offer up to $45,000 in purchase rebates.

"HP/Compaq IT managers are looking for options to upgrade and consolidate their storage capabilities, and do it with shrinking budgets," noted Gary Francis, corporate vice president and general manager, StorageTek automated tape solutions. "When we introduced our trade-up program, we thought it would be a good way to introduce ourselves to HP/Compaq end users who had relied on our technology for years, but had never worked with us directly.
