DataBase Associates Changes Its Name

DataBase Associates Inc, a leading information technology research and consulting firm, has announced that effective immediately it has changed its name to Intelligent Business Strategies to better reflect the company's services.

Intelligent Business Strategies is headed by Founder and president Colin White, a leading authority on the subjects of business intelligence, enterprise business integration, and real-time business processing. Along with Mike Ferguson, who serves as Managing Director of Intelligent Business Strategies Limited in the United Kingdom, Intelligent Business Strategies has more than 50 years experience in the information technology (IT) field. The company consults for Global 2000 companies, IT vendors, and venture capitalists, as well as government agencies, and is also well known for its role in leading information technology conferences.

White, with over 32 years of IT experience, is well respected for his in-depth knowledge of leading-edge technologies and how they can be integrated into an enterprise infrastructure for building and supporting the Intelligent Business. He is currently conference chair for DCI's Corporate and e-Business Portals Conference, a Top Advisor on DCI's Portal Community, and is on the advisory board for The Data Warehouse Institute's Business Intelligence Summit. He is also a Top Advisor on DCI's Portal Community. With over 21 years of IT experience, Ferguson has consulted and spoken at events all over the world. Prior to joining DataBase Associates, Ferguson was a principal and co-founder of Codd and Date UK and a chief architect at NCR on the Teradata DBMS.
