Ken Beaudry To Head Hitachi Data Systems Global Solutions

Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd has announced that Ken Beaudry has been named senior vice president and general manager of Global Solutions Services.

In this newly created role, Beaudry has responsibility for expanding on the work and accomplishments of Hitachi Data Systems' worldwide Professional Services and Global Education organization, and for defining and executing a global plan to significantly increase revenues and profitability from services and solutions sales. This includes direct responsibility for the newly created Global Professional and Educational Services Practice Management organization, leading Hitachi Data Systems' effort to bring an increased emphasis on services.

Exabyte Adds New Directors to Board

Exabyte Corporation, a performance and value leader in tape backup systems, recently announced that Leonard W. Busse and Stephanie L. Smeltzer have been elected to its Board of Directors.

Leonard (Len) W. Busse

Mr. Busse joins Exabyte's Board of Directors and will serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Len is a Certified Public Accountant and has a wealth of experience in the banking and financial field, having held executive positions at Worldbridge Broadband Services in Lakewood, Colorado; First Citizens Bank Limited in Port of Spain, Trinidad; The Pacific Bank of San Francisco; and Continental Illinois National Bank in Chicago. Through his work with The Busse Group, Len has also provided financial consultation for organizations such as Northwest Airlines, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Company and Vectra Banking Corporation of Denver. Len earned his BS in economics from Purdue University and studied for his CPA at Northwestern University.

Stephanie L. Smeltzer

Ms. Smeltzer joins Exabyte's Board of Directors and brings extensive experience in the financial field. She is currently an investment professional with Meritage Private Equity Funds, a Denver-based firm with more than $480 million of committed capital under management. Previously, Stephanie established the corporate finance practice of the Arthur Andersen Moscow office where she was an associate director, and was also an investment banker for The Wallach Company, a Denver-based investment boutique. She began her career as an auditor for Arthur Andersen, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School with high distinction as a George F. Baker Scholar. Stephanie is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Caesius Software Appoints Two New Advisors

Caesius Software Inc, creators of WebQL, an automated agent creation and deployment technology, announces the naming of two new members of its Board of Advisors: Joseph Eash III and Hyer Bercaw.

Joe Eash III has over 40 years experience managing high technology for the government and private industry. Joe has served as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Advanced Systems & Concepts. He is a Principal Research Engineer for Georgia Tech Research Institute, an advisor to the Homeland Defense Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration, and a member of the Defense Science Board Panel on Discriminate Use of Force.
