Zhaohua Sci & Tech To Co-Operate With US Spectra Logic In DS

Zhaohua Science & Technology (Group) Co Ltd has set up an alliance with US-based Spectra Logic Corp to develop China's data storage market, the China News Service said. The newspaper quoted the chairman of the listed company, Zhu Jianqiu, as saying the JV will introduce advanced technologies and services from the foreign company to develop the domestic market, which is expected to be worth US$700 million this year. It quoted statistics as saying global data storage volume rose six million terabytes last year, is expected to rise another 12 million terabytes this year and 24 million terabytes next year.
