TeraCloud SPACENET TO GAIN HETEROGENEOUS MANAGEABILITY

TeraCloud Corporation, a leading provider of storage resource management (SRM) solutions for distributed and mainframe storage environments, has strengthened its commitment to support multiple platforms by expanding its development relationship with EMC Corporation through its Developers Program. Now, TeraCloud's SpaceNet, an enterprise-wide SRM application, has access to additional levels of functionality for integrating with EMC CLARiiON and Symmetrix networked storage systems and WideSky, the industry's first middleware translation layer, to reduce heterogeneous storage management complexity. This increased interoperability will enable TeraCloud to monitor storage activity and automate management tasks across all EMC networked storage systems, as well as the other third-party storage systems and applications.

"Through the EMC Developers Program, TeraCloud's integration with EMC WideSky storage management middleware will help mutual customers automate storage resource management," said Paul Brown, Senior Director of Global Alliances. "Integrated SRM products can reduce storage administration costs, optimize usage of current assets, and further enable IT departments to meet overall business goals."

"TeraCloud is on an unwavering course towards providing our customers with the capability to monitor and take action on all storage-related information, in any system, from a single, central point of control," said Douglass Ebstyne, CEO of TeraCloud. "By deepening our relationship with EMC, TeraCloud takes another step towards the realization of this vision."

With more than 150 members, including most of the world's largest software companies, the EMC Developers Program is the storage industry's largest open software initiative. The program gives members access to a broad portfolio of development tools, interfaces and supporting resources for EMC's WideSky middleware, EMC's platform application programming interfaces (APIs) and other EMC programming interfaces. By joining EMC's program, TeraCloud ensures that its leading SRM software will continue to be an industry standard in interoperability.

Serving Fortune 1000 customers for nearly 12 years, TeraCloud's SpaceNet software provides integrated SRM solutions for mainframe and distributed storage environments. By allowing companies to manage mission-critical data, utilize policy management, maximize space use and improve capacity planning for the enterprise, SpaceNet reduces total cost of storage management.
