EZQuest Announces PC/Mac 52x FireWire and USB CD-RW Drives

EZQuest is now shipping its new, super-fast Boa 52x24x52 external CD-RW drives for Macs and PCs. The FireWire version can burn a 74-minute CD in 90 seconds. The USB 2.0 version can match this speed when used with a USB 2.0 enabled computer. Both drives can re-write a CD in 3.08 minutes, and their 52x read speed is the fastest available on a CD recorder. In addition, they feature a 2MB buffer size and buffer under-run technology to eliminate under-run errors in fast-write modes. These high-speed drives can be moved from computer to computer without restarting or rebooting -- and are ideal for data archiving and desktop publishing, and for MIDI and recording studio applications.

The Boa 52x drives are housed in light-gray, streamlined cases and are fully shielded with 0.6mm metal. They come ready to use, and include a built-in universal 50-watt auto-switching power supply, a cable and software (Charismac for Mac and Nero for PC burning software). The drives are compatible with Mac OS 8.6 plus later (9.2) and OSX versions, as well as WIN 98SE and later versions, including XP. They have a one-year warranty and are priced at $189 MSRP.
