Features - Financial Plays Of The Week:STORAGE AREA NETWORKS RECEIVES ORDERS FROM NEW FED CLIENTSStorage Area Networks has announced that it received significant orders from two new Federal Agency clients. In combination, the orders received in December total more than $5 million. The company expects most of this revenue should be recognized in the current quarter. John Jenkins, CEO SANZ said: "As we outlined in earlier communications, we have continued to invest in extending our base of federal business throughout 2002. We can now point to solid success of those efforts as the receipt of these two orders brings us to a position of significant engagement with three new agencies in 2002. "In addition, we have been advised that we are the designated recipient of a number of additional project awards that currently are awaiting Congressional action on the General Government Budget Resolution." Jenkins added: "We have very good momentum in the federal sector as we enter 2003. In addition to these new clients, we expect good business flow from our legacy federal accounts and are currently working several additional new and substantial opportunities."
