M-SYSTEMS INTRODUCES A NEW ATA SOLID-STATE FLASH DISK

M-Systems, a leader in flash-based data storage products, has announced the release of a new solid-state flash disk.

FFD 2.5" IDE Plus, a solid-state disk with no moving parts, is available now in capacities ranging from 256MB to 21GB. Packaged within a standard 2.5" form factor with an IDE/ATA interface that complies with ATA-4, it offers a sustained read/write performance of 8.0 MB/s.

"This new product is now our top-of-the-line IDE flash disk," said Ofer Tsur, M-Systems' marketing manager for FFD products. "The higher capacities and faster read/write performance of IDE Plus, along with its unbeatable durability and reliability, enable it to fit into the most demanding of applications within military and aerospace, telecommunication, public safety and factory automation systems."
