TrueSAN, SGI FORGE ALLIANCE TO OPTIMIZE SANs IN HPC ENVIRONS

TrueSAN Networks Inc, a pioneer in storage infrastructure software, has announced a strategic alliance with SGI to integrate TrueSAN's Cloudbreak storage networking software with SGI Total Performance storage systems. With this alliance, both companies will collaborate on bringing the advanced storage management capabilities of the Cloudbreak software to SAN infrastructures based on SGI storage solutions.

As an SGI Developer, TrueSAN has also extended Cloudbreak to support the management of heterogeneous SANs consisting of IRIX OS-based hosts, including Silicon Graphics Octane visual workstations and SGI Origin servers and supercomputers. With this alliance, TrueSAN now provides SAN management solutions for high-performance computing and rich media environments based on the SGI platform in industries such as energy, film production, manufacturing, and the sciences.
