CreekPath To Integrate Emulex's HBAnyware Into SOM Suite

Emulex Corporation, one of the world's leading suppliers of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), has announced that CreekPath Systems will integrate Emulex's centralized HBA management suite, HBAnyware, into its Suite of Storage Operations Management (SOM) solutions.

CreekPath Systems offers a comprehensive, integrated Storage Operations Management suite designed to aggregate the critical functionality necessary for enterprise-class storage operation. CreekPath will utilize Emulex's HBAnyware within its SOM Suite to enhance and streamline the discovery and management of Emulex host bus adapters across multiple operating systems and the servers in which they operate. The CreekPath SOM platform combines the critical functionality necessary for optimal Storage Operations Management including, Storage Network Management, Storage Resource Management, Storage Performance Management, Storage Service Management and Data/Storage Security Management.

Emulex's HBAnyware is a centralized HBA management suite that enables complete management of Emulex HBAs and the ability to upgrade firmware anywhere in a Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN from a single console. HBAnyware complements and enhances third party management applications, such as the CreekPath Storage Operations Management Suite, by providing full visibility to the SAN and enabling dynamic access to critical SAN information, such as port attributes, link status and discovery information. Further, Emulex partners may take advantage of seamless HBAnyware integration using driver-based technology which features Emulex's extensions to the industry standard common HBA API. Further, HBAnyware is fully backwards compatible with previous generations of Emulex HBAs, enabling immediate access to customers' installed base.
