EVERGREEN INTRODUCES NEW TeraByte HotDrive

The new TeraByte HotDrive delivers a full 1000GB of high-speed external data storage in a compact, portable enclosure. Customers can also take advantage of a user expandable 250GB HotDrive which provides an initial 250GB and can be field upgraded to terabyte capacity. The TeraByte HotDrive can easily be connected to any PC with an available PCI slot and Windows 9x/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP Red Hat, Turbo, SuSE, Caldera Linux or FreeBSD operating system.

The TeraByte HotDrive is compact, measuring 10" H x 7" W x 15" D, for convenient addition to any office or workspace and allowing transport between PC systems. Integrated Serial ATA RAID technology facilitates speedy back-up of extremely large amounts of data, support for small home and office networks and data-intensive applications such as audio and video production and editing, CAD design, database management and more. The HotDrive's four drive bays are fully removable for simple interchange or addition of hard drives as desired.

The USB 2.0 standard enables data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps and is backward compatible with the initial USB 1.1 standard, providing speeds up to 12 Mbps.
