CMS Peripherals Releases Next Gen EasyMove Data Transfer Kit

CMS Peripherals Inc, a leader in backup and hard drive solutions for notebook and desktop computers, has released the next generation of its EasyMove Data Transfer Kits ("Easy Move.") CMS' transfer kits provide a method for notebook users to transfer all data, applications and the operating system from their old hard drive when upgrading to a CMS Easy-Plug-Easy-Go (EPEG) hard drive. This process enables users to extend the life and maximize the initial investment of their notebook computers.

EasyMove is now shipping with CMS' award-winning Automatic Backup System (ABS) Transfer Software offering a user-friendly interface. The upgraded software features a quick, easy-to-use installation process making hard drive upgrades completely pain-free. Once installed, the robust ABS software automatically initiates a complete data transfer from the old notebook hard drive to the new, higher capacity, EPEG hard drive, with rates up to 75MB per minute.

Another value-added feature of EasyMove is the inclusion of a Quick Start Guide that provides detailed, step-by-step instructions and illustrations on how to install and run the ABS Transfer Software. CMS also customized the Quick Start Guides for notebooks from major manufacturers including Dell, IBM, HP/Compaq and Toshiba, while a universal Quick Start Guide is available for all other manufacturers' notebooks.

Both the EasyMove Data Transfer Kits and the EPEG Hard Drive Upgrades are compatible with Windows 98/NT/Me/2000 and XP operating systems. Pricing for the EasyMove Kits ranges between $79 and $99 MSRP with a 1-year warranty. Pricing for the EPEG Hard Drive Upgrades ranges between $189 and $529 MSRP with a 3-year warranty.
