LEGATO Announces Support For Microsoft Windows Server 2003

LEGATO Systems Inc has announced support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The combination of LEGATO solutions and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 provides a scalable and dependable IT infrastructure, that allows customers to focus on their core business with the assurance that their business-critical information is available, accessible and protected from a storage and application standpoint.

"The new innovative storage features in Windows Server 2003, such as Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS), Virtual Disk Service (VDS) and Multipath IO (MPIO), will extend LEGATO's capabilities to deliver cost-efficient, reliable and scalable storage solutions to its customers," said Charles Stevens, corporate vice president of Sales and Marketing for the Enterprise Storage Division at Microsoft Corp. "LEGATO's support of Windows Server 2003 demonstrates its commitment to deliver storage solutions that address customer needs in a Windows environment."

LEGATO NetWorker 7, the latest generation of LEGATO's flagship information protection product suite, is fully interoperable with Windows Server 2003. NetWorker 7.1, which the Company expects to release in the third quarter of 2003, will embrace the advanced storage features of Windows Server 2003, including snapshot management.

LEGATO plans to support Windows Server 2003 within its AlphaStorT, DiskXtender, RepliStor, Co-StandbyServerT AAdvanced, EmailXtender, and ApplicationXtender product suites later this year.
